Skoda Citigo Launch Weekend in Middlesbrough
The much awaited new fuel efficient Skoda Citigo receives its premier at Derek Slack Motors on June 9th during our special launch weekend. Although aimed towards the small city car sector, the Citigo is surprisingly spacious with enough room in the back for even the tallest of drivers including my 6ft + frame. The boot is cavernous for its class, boasting 251 litres, more than enough room for packing your shopping and your gym bag. All round visibility is superb making it a joy to park even in the tightest of spaces. Having already seen the well proportioned Skoda Citigo during my recent visit to the Geneva Motorshow, I was delighted with the five-door version showing how well Skoda have made the transition from 3 to 5 door.
It’s very spacious inside with a number of useful features including a multimedia holder in the dash and water bottle nets on the front seats with standard equipment on all models including ABS, front and side airbags, CD radio with aux-in and daytime running lights. An added option will include a Sport and Design pack with metallic or silver decals and a choice of 14, 15 and 16” alloys available in black or silver. The Citigo has the composure of a and refinement of a much larger car and promises to be fun to drive on twisty roads. Caution prescribed as always.
The 61bhp and 76bhp versions of the 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine, have Co2 emissions of 105 and 98g/km CO2 figures respectively and 62.8 and 67.3mpg combined fuel consumption. Built in the same factory as its SEAT and VW cousins, the big difference is the price tag.Doors open to the launch weekend from 9.00am with test drives booked on the day.
