Auto Express New Car Awards 2011
Skoda models have taken the plaudits once again at one of Britain’s biggest new car awards ceremonies Auto Express New Car Awards 2011. The Skoda Superb was a clear winner in the ‘Best Family Car’ category this being the third consecutive win in the sector. Auto Express described the ‘brilliant’ Skoda Superb as ‘having the best car skill set, offering sparkling performance and excellent engines’...so no half measures there then! They also went on to say the Superb was ‘good enough to rival many so-called executive models.’
The Skoda Yeti held on to its title as ‘Best Crossover’. Even though many of our customers will already be familiar with the depths of the Yeti’s talents. Auto Express were quick to offer lavish praise saying, ‘the sparkling dynamics and unexpected driver appeal with the kind of handling you would expect from the best hatchbacks makes the Yeti outstanding choice in this competitive sector. The interior is one of the most flexible of its kind thanks to the MPV-style rear seats which slide and tumble forward. What’s more, Yeti customers can choose from two and four-wheel-drive options, the latter offering off-road ability, as well as secure handling on tarmac in the kind of British wintry conditions drivers dread’.
Last but not least, the Skoda Superb Estate picked up the title of ‘Best Estate’ for the second year running. Offering a superb blend of space, (1,865 litres of luggage to be exact) value, style and performance. Described as the ultimate answer to the family car question, the versatile Superb Estate is without doubt a winner in every department.
They summarised the brands awards by saying, ‘Skoda’s tremendous reputation for customer care and reliability is second to none, so family cars don’t come any more confidence-inspiring or reassuring. Plus with the new GreenLine II eco model line up offering tax friendly incentives and some of the lowest emissions, Skoda are set to
follow up next year’s awards in the same typical fashion.
